Luscious' Poems
Silhoettes
I look outside my window
Daylight still shows
The fog floats about
In the sky and on the ground
The silhoette of the trees
Motionless and tall, this I see
The rooftops near houses are vague
They seem cold and yet seem blurred through the fog
Once in a while, a bird flies by
I hear its chirp, I wonder why
Maybe it's talking to its family
Hidden in one of the trees
Everything has its place
Confusion is lost without a trace
Cars rushing by
I lean forward, rest my chin on my hand and sigh
I see cars stop, in front of the store
People going in and out the door
They get back in their cars
They got what they came for
The night slowly creeps in
Holding onto the day, I try to cling
I'm peaceful tonight
All this, I tell you, this I write
I wear a smile on my face
This moment, I embrace
I look at the clock
Wishing it would stop
To hold onto today
I try, I wish it would stay
To be all mine
I think would be fine
To share this with someone
To enjoy and talk would be fun
To talk the night away
To relive this moment everyday
I sigh in comfort
Organizing my thoughts, thoughts to sort
To feel calm
All these feelings are strong
I toss my hair off my face
Across the room, I gaze
My eyes, glazed not focused
To prolong this, I must
Have you had days like this?
These type of days, I have missed
Yes, I am crazy
But, that's just me
